The Age of Renewal. A Global Storytelling Project

Menopause is still a story that isn’t often told in full.
You’re warmly invited to take part in The Age of Renewal, a creative storytelling project exploring the many ways people experience and think about menopause. Whether it is part of your past, present, or future, your perspective matters. This is true regardless of your age, stage, or background.

This is your chance to reflect on menopause and share your perceptions or experiences in a way that feels right for you. That might include writing, photography, poetry, collage, textiles, or any other creative form. You do not need to be artistic. What matters is your willingness to express something true to your experience.

This project began as a research collaboration with Jannie Stricker MSc, a fellow positive psychology practitioner specialising in midlife coaching. Together, we launched the first phase of The Age of Renewal and presented early insights at the International Positive Psychology Association World Congress in Brisbane.

It continues to grow as we gather and appreciate a wide range of lived experiences. Our aim is to explore the themes that emerge and bring more depth, diversity, and visibility to the menopause conversation.

Your contribution helps shape a more inclusive and nuanced understanding of menopause worldwide. If you would like to take part, or know someone who might, I would love to hear from you.

If you are unsure how to begin, let me know and we can have a chat. I’m happy to help you find a way that feels right.
